Course Overview: General and Academic English Development Programme
This course is designed to strengthen the English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills that university staff need for both everyday communication and academic success. Participants will also gain insights into English-speaking cultures and work with effective, research-based materials to achieve their personal learning goals.
In addition to language development, the course supports staff preparing to teach in English-Medium Instruction (EMI) contexts. It helps build essential communication skills, cultural awareness, confidence, and 21st-century pedagogical strategies needed for effective and engaging teaching in internationalised classrooms.
